Doom-Ed

This blog is dedicated to John Carmack, the creator of Games like Doom and Quake. It consists of his .plan file updates starting from 1997, converted into blog format.

The last official release date was September 3rd 2004, but until now nothing has happended. Still no sign on the official Half-Life 2 site.

Granted, for a popular game-engine like the one of Doom 3 there will be a lot of so called mods. These are modifications to the original game, from minor tweaks to total conversion.

One of the most promising mods is Team Fortress. The makers were interviewed by planetdoom recently.

This blog contains a collection of .plan files from John Carmack, the co-creator of Doom, Quake and other blockbusters. It has been brought to life by a guy from Europe.

Posts signed with johnc are original .plan file updates, all other posts were made by other people.

I have given my best (and still doing it) to conserve the exact time stamps of .plan updates to the second wherever possible. In most cases this is Central Standard Time.
